Here’s How I Never Run Out Topics to Write

When I first started writing here I thought I had the best ideas. All I have to do is write them down and people will love them.

It took me only a bunch of days to realize, no it’s not. My engagement, I could count with my fingers.

Then, I thought to search for interesting topics to write about and ran into another problem.

Have you ever faced this problem?

Having a Burning Feeling to Write Something, but Running Out of Topics to Write?

Or the frustration of starting to write something, only to abandon it after writing just a few passages?

Haha! Almost every one of us has faced this moment at least a bunch of times, even if you are a pro writer.

So what do you do when this happens?

Push your brain as hard as you can to search for a topic to come, or just close your computer and walk out?

I used to do the second one.

But what if I say, I found a solution? and now I never run out of topics.

I found a method, and it’s easy!

Yeah! I found a great method, and it is as easy as eating a bar of chocolate.

All you have to do is follow these simple steps.

1) Use Google Trends.

As you can see in this screenshot, this is the front page of Google Trends.

Here you can see each and every trend in the world that is up to date.

They have listed the current trends that are ongoing, as well as those that have been on the rise for the past month and three months, or even a year before.

If you have a specific term in your mind, you can directly search it on here, and find out the latest blasting topics related to that.

Or you can click the Explore button to get a more detailed view, similar to what I’ve shown below.

You can choose your targeted country from the dropdown menu, as well as the time region I mentioned above.

Further, you can choose a category to reduce the scope.

My Recommendations for filtering:

Okay! maybe you have heard enough and trying to go straight away to the Google Trends page.

But wait.

Just knowing this platform does not make your problem go away. Still, you might not get enough reads or views.

So, listen to me well.

Did you know?

Humans tend to forget something as time passes once a viral topic will be only trash after a certain period passes.

So, we have to filter them properly to get the maximum outcome.

It is best to choose Past 90 days or 30 days.

With the research I have done with this platform, I found that a trend (unless it is a total breakout) happens to stay around for only a couple of months.

And after that more trends are coming in. Thus, It is recommended to select a duration of approximately three months.

Select the Best Fitting Country.

Do some research. Find how much audience a particular topic has and find the best-fitted country with your targeted audience.

There is one other thing that will increase the reads.

2. Use Google Ads

This is Google’s mighty keyword planner. This platform is totally free to use. You only need to make a Google Ads account.

When making the account, they will ask you to start a Campaign. Avoid that. It will cost you. You can simply skip all of this by clicking a button:)

Through this platform, you can find the most searched keywords in Google browsers. So you can increase the number of reads that you going to write, right after you finish reading this.

Just type a word you searched from Google Trends, we discussed earlier.

Here you can see the number of monthly searches according to the given word “Pain.”

See that “Sciatica” word. It has 1k to 10k searches for a single month.

(I don’t even have heard of it before now :))

So you can further shrink the scope and find the best-searched topic for your next article.

It’s time to write.

And try to publish your stories in popular publications. Since they have a large audience, the chance for your story to be read may also get high.
