Oh! I’m a Software Engineer
it’s not gonna even rhyme well
this was my dream back when I was a student
who trying to earn a living out of my life
and live a life what they call
happily ever after.
I never thought this life was this boring
no smile I saw on their faces
but a little chat here and there
oh! it’s about work.
I wake up before the sun comes up
and get ready because I don’t wanna be late
it’s my internship after all
but I already feel dumb and lame
I think I don’t belong here.
Everyone is running after the paycheck
working hard as they could to gain a raise
to go on a vacation to Hawaii?
Oh! No to come back in the next morning,
to work on for the next paycheck.
Why? I think my self
is this the life you wanted back then
when you were too young to understand,
nothing about the boring adulthood.
No. I think not.
I don’t wanna be a rat
who is running forever
to die in the end
for absolutely nothing!
And perhaps that’s why
I’m going to break the wheel
and be free.
