No. I’m not the most jealous person on Earth. I love seeing other writers succeed and getting quadrillions of claps and comments. It’s not like that.
Sometimes before I found that I needed to read more to write more because I would get more things to write when I read.
So, I read. Read a lot. I read through the Staff Picks, which obviously should be better than my writing.
Once I read Learning to Draw While Losing My Sight by Patricia Timmermans and that was an awesome pick. And Stop Wasting Your Time written by John Gorman and ahh! they are beautiful!❤️
But again, I had the same question. I did not find why, no one reads my stories, so I needed an answer. A clear one without telling constantly I have to read more, you need to be consistent, you need to choose a niche you love the most, etc etc etc.
With that in mind, I researched. I searched through Google, how to write interesting articles, how to have a successful blog, most beautiful girls in South America…
Oh! maybe not the last one. Who actually searched for that?
Anyway, yeah! I searched for an answer. I forgot to keep writing new stories because I was so focused on why, not what. My daily stats moved down and down until no more than 50 views a day. Monthly stats never passed 1000.
And when it was getting loosing up, I felt more and more anxious. I thought this was a waste of time. I will never be successful in writing. Finally, it’s time to quit and find something else.
Until one single incident changed my whole perspective on this.
For the final time, I did something different. Instead of seeing the most successful stories, I dug down to the bottom. I scrolled and scrolled again. It’s like the scrolling is never meant to be ended. They have written hundreds of stories. And some of them were not so much great as my perspective back then. But they had never stopped, and that’s why they are blooming like flowers. I had my answer.
It’s time to end the story. Hope you learned something, or maybe you will remember your past when you struggled like me now. Any way hope you will be better and win it.
